Welcome to Purrs-of-Luv Cattery located in Southern Pennsylvaia, close to Maryland, Delaware, Washington D.C., New York, New Jersey, & Ohio. My name is Michelle Sostar. We specialize in Himalayan Persians and are commited to raising happy, healthy & well socialized Himalayan Persian kittens for others to love.

Our goal is to bettering the himalayan breed by using the best pedigree lines in my breeding program. Some of the lines I am currently working with are Careyata, Loralyn, Sandypaws, Almigry, Grovewood, Larix, Oakheaven, Kittystone, Lil Luv Lyns, Jasea & Karabel to name a few.

I can offer most colors of Himalayans including lynx points. I do NOT work with Chocolate or Lilac Himalayans.

All my cats have been tested for FeLV (feline AIDS) and FIV (feline HIV). They have also been PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) DNA tested by U C Davis at the University of California and all are negative, which means, they do NOT possess the disease-causing PKD gene.

I strive to produce happy, healthy and well socialized babies to show and be pampered beloved pets for others to love. Each cat/kitten is special in their own way, but all deserve to be treated as you would your human "child". All of my cats & kittens are raised underfoot around children (in a Family Daycare setting) to ensure sweet temperments & purrsonalities. All babies are handled and spoiled from birth until they leave my home/cattery into your home.

In 8/2003, I started showing with the Cat Fanciers Association exclusively, where all my cats/kittens are registered. I hope to show my show kitties to their highest potential and become successful in the cat fancy. I am a member of the Atlantic Himalayan Club & The Himalayan Breed Council through CFA.

Your friendship and guidance has been a very important part of the growth and development of my cattery. Many, many THANKS also to the many breeders that I have met since starting in the cat fancy. I am forever grateful for your love, support, guidance and expertize in teaching me the ropes of the cat fancy. If it wasn't for these experienced breeders, I would not be where I am today persuing the dream I have had for cats since I was a young child. BIG HUGS to all of you, I LOVE YOU ALL!!!
